Q: What to do if antivirus deleted or disabled  iMonitor EAM Agent Program?

1. Disable your antivirus.

2. Install or re-install iMonitor EAM Agent.

3. Add EAM installation folder and main EXE files into the exclusion list of your antivirus.

4. Enable your antivirus.


Q: How to add agent program into the exclusion list of antivirus?

Add Agent program installation folder and the main EXE files  into the exclusion list of the anti-virus software.


The path of Agent installation folder is:

C:\Windows\system\sys\syscon\


The main agent EXE files are:

C:\Windows\system\sys\syscon\mssys.exe

C:\Windows\system\sys\syscon\mdua.exe

C:\Windows\system\sys\syscon\mstme.exe

C:\Windows\system\sys\syscon\mskes.exe

C:\Windows\system\sys\syscon\msflttrans.exe



Q: How to check if the agent program is blocked by antivirus?

Please open windows Task Manager on the target computer,  and check if "mssys.exe" is running or not.


NOTE:

Currently EAM is compatible and works smoothly with most popular anti-virus and firewall software, like Norton and kaspersky antivirus and firewall etc. But still anti-virus and firewall software would be considered by all the monitoring software company. If some errors occur like client can't connect or ping with server, please disable server and client anti-virus and firewall at first.
