Install Agent on Linux PC

Install EAM agent program on Employee's Linux PC:

1. Run EAM Professional / Standard

2. Click "Home > Install Agent", you will get the Agent application files "imonitorlinux" and "ipprotect".

3. Transfer both "imonitorlinux" and "ipprotect" to the Linux computer that you want to monitor, copy them to a secret folder, the folder can be any folder.

3.1 Right click the file "imonitorlinux", choose "Properties" in the popup menu,  then change the "Permissions"  for it.

You have to set all "Access" options as "Read and write",  and you have to tick the option "Allow executing file as a program".

3.2 Right click the file "imonitorlinux", choose "Properties" in the popup menu,  then change "Open with"  for it.

3.3 Right click the file "ipprotect", choose "Properties" in the popup menu,  then change the "Permissions"  for it.

You have to set all "Access" options as "Read and write",  and you have to tick the option "Allow executing file as a program".

3.4 Right click the file "ipprotect", choose "Properties" in the popup menu,  then change "Open with"  for it.

4. Add "imonitorlinux" into the system auto start-up process list.

How to run a program at startup using Ubuntu?

5. Double click the file "imonitorlinux"  to run it in background mode.

NOTE: Once you finished the installation, you can open "System Monitor" to check the imonitor running process, the process name is "imonitorlinux".

If the process is in the list, means the installation was successful.
